Devereux Florida provides programs and services that reunite families whose children have been removed from the home due to welfare concerns. Based out of Tampa, FL and providing coverage throughout Sarasota, DeSoto, and Manatee Counties, this position is responsible for supporting Case Managers by transporting clients (children, parents or caregivers) safely and timely to and from appointments and activities, including medical, court, family visitations, and others as needed. This role will assist with oversight of family visitations, documenting and providing findings to the assigned Case Manager.
This role may assist with transporting children to and from school, temporary placements, caregivers after hours, and for weekend appointments as needed. To meet those needs, the Case Management Support may be needed to work early morning hours, be off mid-day, and return for afternoon shifts, with openness to picking up unscheduled work as unplanned needs may arise. On-call for evenings and weekends is required on a rotational basis. This role may be called out in the event of an emergency.
Position Details:
Salary: Starts at $18.00 - 21.06 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience).
Schedule: Full time
Location: hybrid; in-office & community-based (covers Sarasota, DeSoto, and Manatee Counties)

Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
One year experience in related field, working with children preferred
Knowledge of car seat types, installation and expiration dates
Schedule & Travel:
- This is a field based position that covers anywhere throughout Sarasota, DeSoto, Manatee and other Counties as needed.
- Early mornings, evenings, overnight and weekend hours available
Other Requirements:
- Valid Florida Driver's License in good standing
- Bi-Lingual in English Spanish a plus
- Must be able to complete a 3 day new hire orientation class (Monday - Wednesday); Hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
