Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Location: Eastman, GA (Ingrained Recovery Campus)
Reports To: Operations Coordinator / Director of Operations
Shift: Day/Night/Weekend (Rotating or Fixed)
Position Summary
As a Behavioral Health Technician at Ingrained Recovery, you are the heartbeat of our client-centered care. You will provide essential support and supervision to individuals undergoing medical detox and residential treatment on our 50-acre ranch. Your role is to maintain a safe, therapeutic "milieu" (environment) where recovery can take root, blending clinical professionalism with the compassionate, holistic spirit of our campus.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Supervision & Safety: Maintain continuous, 24/7 visibility and supervision of clients to ensure safety, comfort, and adherence to program rules.
* Clinical Support: Assist clinical and medical staff in implementing individualized treatment plans. Conduct "well-checks" and monitor vital signs as needed.
* Intake & Documentation: Support the admissions process by conducting contraband searches, orienting new clients to the facility, and documenting all client behavior and shift activities in the EHR system.
* Milieu Management: Facilitate a structured daily schedule, including escorting clients to individual/group therapy, equine-assisted therapy sessions, and recreational activities.
* Crisis Intervention: Identify signs of relapse, drug use, or emotional distress. Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations or clients considering leaving against clinical advice (ACA/AMA).
* Logistics: Transport clients to appointments or meetings using company vehicles and assist with medication observation under the supervision of licensed medical staff.
Qualifications
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Required). Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Preferred).
* Experience: 1–2 years of experience in substance abuse or mental health treatment (Residential/Detox experience strongly preferred).
* Certifications: Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a clean driving record. CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). RBT or CADC-T certification is a plus.
* Skills: Strong boundaries, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. Proficiency in basic computer skills for electronic charting.
Why Work at Ingrained Recovery?
* Unique Environment: Work on a beautiful, tranquil ranch that utilizes holistic therapies like equine and wilderness therapy.
* Impact: Play a direct role in a "whole-person" healing process that focuses on long-term transformation, not just symptom management.
* Professional Growth: Gain experience in a multidisciplinary team alongside board-certified physicians, licensed therapists, and recovery specialists.
