Effective date: July 18, 2026
Last updated: July 18, 2026
This policy explains what Behavioral Health Careers, LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we,” “us”), collects through BehavioralHealth.careers (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site only, not to employer websites you reach through job listings.
Short version: we collect what you give us through forms and accounts, plus standard analytics data. We share job seeker materials with employers only at your direction. We do not sell personal information.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide.
- Contact and inquiry forms: name, email address, and whatever you include in your message.
- Newsletter and job alerts (where available): email address and alert preferences.
- Job seeker accounts (where available): name, email, password, and any profile or resume material you upload. Resumes often contain work history, education, licenses, and contact details. Include only what you want employers to see.
- Employer accounts (where available): company name, contact person, email, phone, billing details, and listing content.
- Payments: processed by a third-party payment processor [CONFIRM: Stripe]. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically.
- Usage data through Google Analytics 4 (via Site Kit): pages visited, approximate location from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the Site.
- Cookies and similar technologies that keep the Site working and support the analytics above. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies; the Site will still work, though some features may not.
We do not ask for, and you should not submit, health information, treatment history, or other sensitive personal details. A resume for a behavioral health job does not need them, and we do not want them.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to operate the Site and its features: responding to inquiries, delivering job alerts and newsletters you signed up for, connecting job seekers with employers, processing employer payments, understanding which content is useful so we can improve it, and meeting legal obligations. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to running this platform.
3. When we share information
- With employers, at your direction. If you apply through the Site or make your resume searchable (where available), the employers you apply to, or who search the database, will see the materials you chose to share. Your visibility settings control this. Once an employer has your resume, their own privacy practices govern what they do with it.
- With service providers. Companies that host the Site, deliver email, process payments, and provide analytics, under agreements limiting their use of your data to providing those services.
- For legal reasons. If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
- In a business transfer. If the Site or company is sold or merged, your information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
4. Data retention
Contact form messages and email list data are kept while relevant, and email subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Account and resume data are kept while your account is active; if you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove it within 30 days except where the law requires longer retention (billing records, for example). Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics settings [CONFIRM: current GA4 retention setting, default 14 months].
5. Your choices and rights
- Email: every marketing or alert email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Access, correction, deletion: email legal@behavioralhealth.careers to ask what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We answer within 30 days and will verify your identity before acting on a request.
- Cookies and analytics: block cookies in your browser, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. California residents
California’s privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) apply to businesses meeting certain revenue or data-volume thresholds. We honor the following rights for California residents regardless of whether those thresholds require us to:
- Right to know what categories of personal information we collect and why (described in Sections 1 through 3).
- Right to access the specific information we hold about you.
- Right to correct inaccurate information.
- Right to delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. Sharing your resume with an employer you applied to happens at your direction and is not a sale.
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise these rights, email legal@behavioralhealth.careers with “Privacy request” in the subject line. Residents of other states with privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Texas, and others) may use the same process, and we extend the same rights.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
The Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, a Global Privacy Control signal does not change how we process your data.
8. Children
The Site is for people 18 and older seeking or offering employment. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards: HTTPS across the Site, access controls, and reputable hosting and service providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post updates here with a revised effective date. For material changes, account holders and email subscribers will get direct notice. The features marked “where available” above (accounts, resume database, job alerts) are in development; this policy covers them so it will not need a rewrite when they launch, and we will flag their availability on the Site.
